Red poha is a healthier alternative to the regular one.

The red colour is due to the presence of a pigment called anthocyanin, which is also a flavonoid. Moreover, unlike white rice, red rice doesn’t undergo excessive processing, and as such the other bran layer remains intact, which is rich is fiber, vitamin B, and minerals like calcium, zinc, iron, manganese, magnesium etc. Red rice is also enriched with antioxidants!

Deats:
Wash and soak 1/2 cup red poha for 20 mins. In a pot add poha. 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup of milk (I added almond milk) you could use coconut or regular dairy milk. Let it simmer for a couple of mins until it attains that creamy texture. Add a pinch of salt, cardamom powder, sweetener of your choice( I added date paste). Top it with seeds, nuts or fruits of your choice.
